Six Of Crows

Six of Crows

I love this book. This is the book I'm currently reading, and I have to admit I have not yet finished it. My mom and I were out and about running errands one day, we were at Costco and looked at this book, reading the blurb on the back we thought it was interesting and decided to buy it. As happens when my mom and I are together when a book is bought, I started reading it in the car as we drove around finishing our errands. It. Is. AMAZING! The main character is terrifying and ruthless but so charming and appealing, and the story line is fascinating. The problem with reading a book out loud to my mother is that when I go home, she reads ahead without me and that drives me a little bit insane. So being the oh so loving and bratty daughter that I am, I hid the book before I went home so she couldn't read ahead. She was not happy. I can't tell you how many times she text me that week asking me where I had put the book. So we've been reading it on the weekends when I come home, and I no longer have to hide it because she's resigned to waiting for me to come over on the weekends to read it. So that is why I haven't finished it yet, but it's a good book. We've got about a third of the book still to go through, and it's the first in the series. The second book is out, but It's gonna be a while before the third one comes out. However the author has another series that's out, I haven't read it yet, but it seems like from the title, The Grisha Trilogy, that it may be a "prequal" type thing to the six of crows series, or at least they take place in the same universe. Anyway, if it's anything like the Six of Crows, it's got to be an amazing series. There is no language, at least no really foul langauge, general cursing but that's all, and it is a bit boody and violent. Like I said, the main character is ruthless and terrifying. I'm loving this book, it's been a while since I've found a story I've liked this much. This is a must read.
