The Paladin

This book is not everyone's cup of tea. I loved it, my brother didn't like it, and neither did half of the friends I recommended it to. It's historical fiction, the story is about a real spy during world word II that's been ficionalized. The premise is that Winston Churchill recruited a young teenage boy to be a secret agent to report directly to Churchill. The story follows their relationship, how they met and how the boy was recruited, and the missions he was sent on and how they evolved as time went on. It's an old book, written in, I want to say 1979, and oh my goodness it's incredibly difficult to get a hold of a copy of this book. Yeah you can get a copy on amazon for $30 or $40 bucks, but I'm kinda cheap and picky when it comes to books I love, I want a nice new copy. I don't mind old/antique/used books, but only with some of them, and this isn't one of them. This is a great old book, that I come back to again and again. If you like historical novels then I would recommend giving this book a go, it's well worth it.
